Cardano Added to Ledger Nano S
During the last weeks, there have been several altcoins increasing in price. This could be one of the many different signs that the bear market in the crypto space is already over. Cardano is among these virtual currencies. In the last 24 hours, ADA grew more than 11% and it has accumulated in a month more than 50% price increase.
Cardano has also released its Mainnet 1.5, which helped the virtual currency increase in price as well. In this way, Cardano became once again a top 10 cryptocurrency. Tron (TRX) fell to the 11th position after being among the top 10 for a long period of time. Cardano has also been added and integrated to Yoroi Wallet.
The official blog post about this integration reads as follows:
“Users will be able to protect their private keys through Ledger’s wallets, giving them access to their ADA with increased security and peace of mind. The Ledger hardware wallet integrates with the EMURGO-developed Yoroi wallet, the first official companion app to support the Cardano Ledger hardware wallet.”
The initiative has been sponsored by the Cardano Foundation and it has also received support from Vacuum Labs and the IOHK development team. Furthermore, users have been waiting for these integrations for a long period of time. Thus, the impact on the price of Cardano has been noticeable.
Eric Larchevêque, the CEO of Ledger said about the integration process with the Ledger Nano S:
“Our integration with Cardano is something the Ledger community has been looking forward for a long time. We are constantly working to respond to the needs of our customers, so we’re thrilled to officially welcome Cardano to the Ledger platform, offering ADA investors world class security for their crypto assets.”
At the time of writing this article, Cardano is the tenth largest virtual currency in the market. It also has a market capitalization of $1.76 billion and each coin can be purchased for $0.067.
